The DEEP BACKWARD SQUARE LEG cricket Club was established in 1986 and after a season of learning the ropes, we entered a team in the Suffolk Cricket Alliance league in 1987.

Following a merger with another local club with whom we had a longstanding relationship with ( GUARDIAN CRICKET CLUB ) ,we are now able to run both a Saturday and a Sunday side.

In 2008, the Saturday team played in Division Seven of the Two Counties League, whilst the Sunday team played in Section D of the Suffolk Alliance.

Our home base is at GRESHAMS in Tuddenham Road, Ipswich which used to be owned by the G.R.E Insurance group.

The club has excellent facilities for all types of functions, large and small, with top quality food available after our matches.

The 2008 / 9 Indoor League season at Gainsborough was our first , although we had a number of players that had played for other teams in previous years, so we were able to win the league at the first attempt.
